Separate, affirmative consent

Marketing subscription is optional and separate from account registration, transactional security messages and marketplace workflow notifications. EIFS.ca requests an affirmative opt-in and records the email address, consent wording and version, source, timestamps and confirmation state needed to demonstrate consent.

A submitted address remains pending until the person uses the confirmation link. Confirmation links are single-purpose and time-limited. EIFS.ca does not add purchased, scraped or publicly listed addresses to a marketing list without another lawful basis documented for that specific use.

Sender identification and unsubscribe

Each commercial electronic message must identify EIFS.ca and the sender, provide current contact information and include a working unsubscribe mechanism. An unsubscribe request is applied without charge and no later than the period required by applicable law; EIFS.ca targets immediate suppression.

Consent can be withdrawn without closing an EIFS.ca account. The minimum suppression evidence may be retained so the address is not accidentally re-added. Transactional messages that are necessary to secure or provide a requested service may still be sent.
